Adam Brakel Organ Recital
The 29th Season of the Eccles Organ Festival continues Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 8:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Madeleine with a recital by Adam Brakel.
Hailed as “an absolute organ prodigy” by National Public Radio and “one of the most talented organists in the world” by the Chicago Tribune, concert organist Adam J. Brakel is a preeminent artist “with the technique and virtuosity that most concert pianists could only dream of.” (NPR) Adam’s celebrated performances span the globe—from coast to coast in the United States to across Europe and Asia. In addition to his concert career, Adam was most recently appointed Director of Music for St. James Cathedral and the Diocese of Orlando, Florida.

Sunday Evening Organ Recitals
The Cathedral of the Madeleine offers organ recitals featuring resident organists and visitors on selected Sunday afternoons at 5:30 PM from September through May. These last for 30 minutes and are free of charge. Visitors are invited to stay afterwards and join the Cathedral parishioners for the 6:00 PM Mass.

The Eccles Organ Festival is an internationally recognized organ recital series, which seeks to provide the highest quality and most engaging organ performances free of charge to Salt Lake audiences, as well as masterclasses and public lectures.
