The number of performing participants is limited. Performing participants are required to apply using the online form below. |
Information for Participants.
The Master Class will be held at Libby Gardner Concert Hall, at the University of Utah, 1375 Presidents Cir, Salt Lake City, UT 84112.
Parking is very challenging around the University Campus. We anticipate parking to be particularly problematic on that morning, because Piano Federation is scheduled all day in the music building. You might end up parking one or two blocks away... Please plan on arriving early and allow a good amount of extra time for parking!
Between 9:00 AM and 9:45 AM each of you will have 5/10 minutes to try the organ and set a few combinations. Dr. Ken Udy will be there at 9:00 AM to assist. Make sure to arrive at 9:00 AM, especially if the work you are performing requires to set combinations. This will save precious time during the class.
At 10:00 AM the Master Class will begin. Please, plan on staying for the entire class! List of repertoire played (not in order of performance)
Franck, Grand Pièce Symphonique (excerpts)
Bach, Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565
Bach, Prelude and Fugue in D major BWV 532
Widor, Allegro from Symphony No. 6
Bach, Prelude and Fugue in E minor BWV 533
Reger, Introduction and Passacaglia in D minor
Bach, Prelude and Fugue in C minor BWV 549
We anticipate the class to be over by 1:00 PM.
Please email me right away if your plans have changed and you are no longer planning on attending the class.
Lastly, don't hesitate to contact me with any question regarding the master class.
