Guidelines and FAQ for Attending a Concert
ARE PASSES REQUIRED?
No seating passes are required. All guests will be seated on a first-come first-served basis starting at 7:15 PM. Please keep in mind that the seating capacity of the Cathedral is limited and we may not be able to accommodate all guests. We appreciate everyone's patience, collaboration and understanding.
ARE SEATS BEING HELD FOR DONORS?
Yes, a seat will be held until 7:45 PM for each Friend of the Eccles Organ Festival in the Benefactors level ($150+) and up, plus one guest. At 7:45 PM every unclaimed seat will be released for guests in the standby line.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
All concert attendees are required to bring their own mask and wear it while they are in the Cathedral. Contactless programs will be provided through QR codes and projection, when available. Please bring your own device to follow the music program.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?
Please stand in line only when your party is complete and remember to physically distance as you wait in line. Beginning at 7:15 PM, Ushers will seat guests, one party at a time, on a first-come first-served basis. Please keep in mind that the seating capacity of the Cathedral is limited and we may not be able to accommodate everyone. If you are a donor in the Benefactor level and up, please check in with an Usher and be seated by 7:45 PM. Ushers will have the names of the donors as they appear in the Sponsors & Friends page.
IS IT SAFE TO COME TO THE CATHEDRAL?
Yes! The Cathedral is sanitized after every service for the sake of everyone's safety. Only healthy individuals may visit. If you or anyone in your household have any cold or flu-like symptoms, you must stay home.
CAN I USE THE RESTROOMS
Yes, but please avoid crowding in the area near the restrooms.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE CONCERT?
After the concert, please remain seated. Ushers will encourage everyone to leave as soon as the concert is over, dismissing one pew at the time. Please leave the Cathedral without gathering to socialize.

- To acknowledge that the Church cannot guarantee your safety in attending this worship service or other activity
- To take all responsibility for your own well-being and health against the Novel Coronavirus and hold the Church and Diocese harmless (not liable) since the virus can be spread by those who are asymptomatic
- To understand that the normal Sunday obligation to attend Mass is currently suspended in the Diocese of Salt Lake City
- To not attend Mass or other activities, for the common good, if you are vulnerable, ill or afraid of infection; but rather to participate by live-streaming or other pious devotions
- To observe proper “Social Distancing” of six-feet at all times
- To obey all instructions given by hospitality ministers, ushers and clergy
- To wear a mask while entering and exiting, if over the age of three
- To pray for the well-being and health of one another
