Robert August and Andrew Llloyd
An Homage to Douglas Bush Douglas E. "Doug" Bush (1947-2013) was a renowned concert organist and teacher, Professor of Organ in the School of Music BYU since 1978. The Eccles Organ Festival wishes to give a tribute to him in the opening concert of the 21st Edition. Andrew Lloyd is a composer and organist and is the current organist at First United Methodist Church in Denton, TX. He received a DMA in Organ Performance from the University of North Texas in 2014, and completed his other collegiate degrees at the University of Kansas, and Brigham Young University. He has studied with Jesse Eschbach, James Higdon, Douglas E. Bush, Janet Ahrend, and Barbara Lloyd. Robert August is Director of Music and Organist at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth. He earned a Doctorate at the New England Conservatory of Music and served as Assistant University Organist and Choirmaster at Harvard University. |
